The Compass Café Bar has acres of comfortable seating, fantastic views over the bay and a delightful all day and evening menu that takes advantage of the hotel’s in-house bakery. The Café Bar’s terrace is one of the best spots in Torquay for a sundowner or something to eat.

The Grand Hotel has 131 individually furnished, en suite bedrooms.
Standard bedrooms, single, double or twin bedded, are available with inland or sea views. These rooms are all equipped with remote control TV, clock radio, direct dial telephone, hairdryer and hospitality tray. All telephones have a modem for computer use and Wi-Fi is available free in ground floor public areas.
Select Sea View Rooms are our more spacious double or twin bedded rooms offering fantastic sea views. They are equipped with all of the facilities in the standard rooms with the addition of a trouser press.
There are 7 suites available offering 1 or 2 bedroom accommodation. All have luxurious extras such as 2 televisions, video player, bath robes, slippers and trouser press/ironing board. Family rooms are available as both Standard and Select.
The Gainsborough restaurant provides an elegant but comfortable environment in which to enjoy some delicious dining, with something to suit every palate. Dinner is a leisurely feast with a daily changing Table d’Hote menu featuring locally sourced ingredients from the abundant Devon larder, with fish from coastal waters – all mixed with flair, imagination and flavour uppermost in mind. The Compass Lounge, has a feature bar and huge picture windows with great views. For the more active, The Grand has plenty to offer in the way of leisure facilities. As well as an outdoor swimming pool and hard court tennis court, there is an indoor swimming pool, Jacuzzi, Sauna, Sun Shower and Gym.
