Salisbury

Nestling in the very heart of rural southern England, Salisbury is a classic English city. It combines the charm of a medieval city with the vibrancy of modern life, where high street names and modern café culture intermingle with independent shops and traditional English pubs.

The cathedral was built between 1220 and 1258, it boasts the tallest spire in Britain, which rises elegantly above the sweeping lawns of the tranquil cathedral close. Within the close there are award-winning museums and graceful period homes to enjoy.

With five rivers running through the city and an expanse of tree-lined parkland, there are many opportunities to relax and unwind. Salisbury is an excellent place to stay and unbeatable as a touring base.

For your stay in Salisbury, you may want a hotel, guest house, bed and breakfast, hostel, camp site, spa resort, self catering cottage or a holiday park – simply select your chosen accommodation to view more details.

Guest comments for the Apple Tree Cottage

1st comment: Loved the peaceful quiet setting of Apple Tree Cottage. Appreciated the very adequate parking space. Sept 2011.

2nd comment: All aspects of our trip were wonderful, made so by the excellent accommodation at Apple Tree Cottage. We could not have wished for more. Our hostess, Pauline and her partner were helpful in settling us in for a relaxed stay and then, left us alone. Perfection. April 2011.

3rd comment: It was a very attractive cottage and its proximity to the woods made it perfect for dog walking. Oct 2010.

4th comment: The cottage was comfortable, tastefully and appropriately decorated, warm and well equipped. We all loved it and happily spent a lot of our time at the cottage rather than constantly going out. May 2010.

5th comment: Over all I found the property to be very clean and comfortable. April 2010.

6th comment: Well placed for visiting places of interest. March 2010.

7th comment: Being located so close to the pretty woods, it was ideal for taking our dog for a walk with the minimum of fuss. Sweet little kitchen and cottage was warm as the evenings cooled down. Tall people would probably be more comfortable elsewhere due to low and sloping ceilings! We appreciated the bottle of wine in the fridge, but were a little nonplussed about the mention of a welcome hamper. Oct 2009.
