The Avon Valley Path lies a few hundred yards from the cottage. The cottage is situated on the edge of the New Forest where wild ponies roam freely among miles of heath land and there are many places of interest to visit within the area, such as the village of Burley, Exbury Gardens and Beaulieu Motor Museum.

Bumble Bee Cottage has a beamed living room with open fire and wooden floor, dining room leading to conservatory with terracotta floor, fitted kitchen with butler sink, family room with TV, separate toilet and two staircases (one spiral) to first floor features include two double bedrooms, one with 5ft bed and ensuite bathroom with bidet, two twin bedrooms, bunk bedroom, bathroom with over-bath mains shower and toilet and shower room with toilet.
Open fire initial fuel included, thereafter honesty box. Electricity, full gas central heating, bed linen and towels included. Property has also twin cot, highchair, children's games/toys in garage (off garden) and enclosed garden with patio and furniture. Smoking prohibited. Weekly lets run from Friday to Friday.
The Avon Valley Path lies a few hundred yards from the cottage. There are many scenic walks to be enjoyed along the Avon Valley, where a wide variety of bird life can be observed within a natural habitat. The village itself is in a designated Area of Special Scientific Interest primarily for the river and the abundance of bird life. Nearby lies picturesque Christchurch (approximately 2 miles), a pretty priory town with its own quay and harbour providing local boat trips.
A short drive away is the lively beach resort of Bournemouth with its many sandy beaches, together with many welcoming bars, shops and seaside attractions. Local beaches approximately 3 miles. The cottage is situated on the edge of the New Forest where wild ponies roam freely among miles of heath land and there are many places of interest to visit within the area, such as the village of Burley, Exbury Gardens and Beaulieu Motor Museum. Regular ferries to the Isle of Wight depart from the famous royal yachting town of Lymington, and slightly further afield is Southampton, a port steeped in seafaring history, with good shopping facilities, and a contemporary art gallery.
The historic cathedral cities of Winchester and Salisbury are within easy reach. Three good local pubs all serving food are within walking distance and shop closeby.
