The village of St Erth, in Cornwall, is well away from the main roads and is a peaceful Cornish rural village.
There have been settlements here since the Bronze Age and a church existed here from at least the 10th Century. The village also has one of the finest ancient bridges in Cornwall which is now over six hundred years old. The Hayle causeway, built in 1825, removed much of the bridge’s importance and also prevented any navigation up the river to the village.
