North Tamerton
North Tamerton lies on the North Cornwall / North Devon Border approximately 5 miles south-west of Holsworthy. The name is of English origin, meaning "estate on the River Tamar". The village and its 15th century church stand above the River Tamar.
The village is an ideal base from which to explore the region. The coastline is spectacular and the choice of beaches is enormous, from rocky coves with soaring cliffs to wide expanses of golden sand. There are also many historic and picturesque coastal villages to discover, such as Clovelly, Boscastle and Tintagel.
The nearby resort of Bude has both a tidal sea-water swimming pool and a modern indoor leisure pool. You may choose to walk the South West Coast Path and admire the dramatically beautiful scenery or head inland and explore Bodmin Moor or Dartmoor.
